At Opinno, a strategy and innovation consultancy, our specialized Healthcare Division focuses on driving patient-centered innovation. We work closely with key players in the healthcare ecosystem to design and prototype impactful new products and services. For over 5 years, we have been leading open innovation and digital health service design projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
Our areas of expertise include developing strategic approaches and new go-to-market models in digital health, implementing omnichannel strategies across organizations, and building innovation ecosystems to accelerate digital transformation.
Opinno Healthcare collaborates with pharmaceutical companies, insurance firms, and other critical stakeholders, employing a lean methodology (build, measure, learn) that integrates our core areas: Business Strategy and Architecture, Technology Solutions, and Open Innovation.
We are looking for a HEALTHCARE INNOVATION & STRATEGY consultant with a passion for innovation, transformation and the entrepreneurial ecosystem to join us as a Project Lead, based in Spain with a flexible and hybrid working model.
What you'll do in a nutshell
As Innovation & Strategy Project Lead in Opinno Healthcare, you will be responsible for leading projects, teams, and client engagements, driving the company's influence and impact.
You will inspire and guide teams, fostering an innovation mindset within organizations, and working with brilliant talents to generate value across sectors and verticals.
Additionally, you will identify opportunities to develop new services and products for clients. A deep understanding of the client’s needs will be essential to provide personalized service and uncover new business opportunities, particularly in the health sector
- Client Relation Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, including large pharmaceutical companies. Engage in direct dialogue to understand their business needs and define aligned project action plans.
- Team Coordination and Management: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution. Foster a collaborative environment that supports innovation and teamwork.
- Project Management and Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end management of projects in the healthcare sector, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Take full ownership of project outcomes and align them with client goals.
- Strategic Planning and Innovation: Support in defining the strategic lines of the innovation and digital health portfolio. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies, digital health start-ups, and other stakeholders to propose creative solutions to industry challenges.
- Open Innovation: Drive open innovation by facilitating collaboration and ideation sessions with industry experts and stakeholders. Use insights from these sessions to shape innovative solutions and strategies.
- Reporting, Accounting, and Budgeting: Prepare and present reports on project progress, financial status, and impact analysis. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate accounting and cost efficiency.
- Business Development and Proposal Preparation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Assist in gathering requirements and preparing commercial proposals, including detailed cost estimates and resource allocations.
- Upselling and Cross-Selling: Explore opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services and solutions within existing client accounts to enhance client value and drive revenue growth.
- Impact Analysis: Analyze project results to support clients in decision-making and to refine the innovation roadmap. Assess the effectiveness of deployed strategies and solutions to provide actionable insights for future projects.
- People Development: Mentor and support team members to encourage their professional growth. Provide guidance and feedback to enhance their skills and contributions to the team.
- Workshop and Insight Collection: Support and gather insights during workshops and meetings with industry teams and healthcare professionals to inform project strategies and innovation efforts.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in business or related fields. Engineering, Biotechnology, or Chemistry are also accepted bachelor's degrees.
- Advanced level of English (C2, bilingual or native) and Spanish.
- Highly desirable to have knowledge of the internal operations and structure of pharmaceutical companies.
- 5 -8 years of experience in strategy, management or innovation consulting.
- At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector, pharmaceutical industry, and/or clinical practice.
- Experience with innovation methodologies (design thinking and agile) and workshop facilitation.
- Desirable experience in managing projects related to: commercial excellence, forecasting, product launches, market access, due diligence, strategy portfolios.
- Strong project management skills, including team coordination and client management.
- Deep understanding of innovation processes and experience in innovation delivery and business transformation programs across units.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Office Package (word, power point, excel, SharePoint, etc.).
- Ability to interact, empathize and manage clients, understanding the business context and their specific business needs and expectations (client-oriented).
- An innovative and collaborative approach to problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Creative and "out of the box" thinking.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized and determined, with strong analytical skills, flexibility and adaptability.
- Excellent ability to work as part of a team in dynamic and multidisciplinary environments.
